When University of Nebraska at Kearney senior Cassidy Aycock was growing up on her family’s ranch in Nebraska, she learned to never back down from a challenge. On her family’s ranch, she was “always on the go” because there was “always work to be done.” 这种职业道德一直延续到她的大学生涯。

She appreciates how, in her classes, she has learned about “all the different aspects of business.”

As she has spent time in her classes and participating in internships, she explains how she has been driven “to want to make a difference in the world” and to put others before herself. 卡西迪有三次实习经历，包括会计和人力资源方面的工作经验。 This past summer, at her internship with a bank, she realized she “couldn’t do it for a career.” When she shared these feelings with 莎拉Borchers, who is not only one of Cassidy’s professors but also her advisor, she learned about many other areas to pursue professionally.

She explains that her “plan is to really find a company that fits (her) values” and then narrow down positions until she finds one that fits her strengths. She realizes that people need to prioritize “their own happiness” and do “what they want to do in their life.” She understands that “it’s up to you what you want to do with your life” and plans to follow her own advice.

Growing up on her family’s ranch, Cassidy has “always had that drive to help people” as well as a desire to “listen to people” to learn what they’re going through. 当她考虑自己未来的职业生涯时，她决心找到一种方法来帮助别人实现他们的目标。  

Using her business degree, Cassidy plans to help people know that “they’re not alone” as she helps them find resources to make their lives better. She wants to “see the reward coming through the smile on people’s faces and not in monetary form.”
